Wow, Katie... I am impressed. The color and the marks.... the connectedness of it all. I need to look at these in person. The light. Wow. I can't say more right now. These are really intimate and beautiful. So dark, a little melancholy, but very dreamy and opalescent too.
Katie, I'm so happy to have found your blog. I had to search for you after seeing Your work at DAC. I was blown away. IMHO,I don't see real painting there by someone who actually sees light (the sensitive color notes) and still lets the painting be a painting. Accurate color relationships but without slavery to the lines and details. I go see that painting of Robert (Claiborne13.jpg) every week now.
