These are really gorgeous. What's the scale? There's an increasing sense of dream/sleep/mystery in your new work. The aliens are not at all pop/political like some of your previous small figure sculptures-- they are instead filled with wonder and some kind of fear, maybe appalled at the spectacle of our existence.... I'm teaching Watercolor this morning; it warms my heart to see you working w/ coffee. Be warned: it smells for a long time, galleries get upset. Garry Renfro got some similar results in his new work using rust. I don't know what he used with it-- shellac maybe.
